It's the first all girl fun run through a muddy obstacle course.
December 1, 2012 at Nuvali
The Down and Dirty dash is an all-women 3k fun run happening on December 1, Saturday in Nuvali Sta. Rosa. Ladies are going to get down and dirty by going through 5 muddy challenges in order to attain special prizes. Triple D is here to promote confidence, camaraderie, empowerment, and most of all, a fun way to get fit among women showing the world that women aren't afraid to get down and dirty too!
This event is all about having fun, and letting your hair down. It's a day when we encourage women to leave their troubles behind and hang loose with their girl friends, even just for a day. We want to bring together women from all walks of life, helping them realize that HEY, IT'S OKAY TO RUN LIKE A GIRL.
Project Pink is a support group that aims to promote the awareness of Breast Cancer among Filipinas (who are most prone to the disease, compared to most Asian women). Established in 2008, it is a support group that provides emotional, support, education and hope for individuals with cancer as well as their loved ones.
Project Pink has organized various fund raising events such as Golf Tournaments, Wine Tasting, Photo exhibits as well as informative and interactive talks and seminars such as Legal Matters, How to Declutter, Laughter Yoga, Make-Up Tutorials and their annual Breast Cancer Awareness Talks.
A race bib, awesome souvenirs (can you say, sexy tank top?) gifts from our sponsors, and just pure, dirty fun!
Wear anything you'd feel comfortable running in. If you think you can run in your prom dress, fine. But no stilettos, please! Running in costumes is highly encouraged! Check out our awards tab to find out a list of awards you can win as a group, or individual!
Of course! Aside from our sponsors' booths, we'll be having food stalls and a mini bazaar set up in this area too. :) We've got something for everyone (even the guys!) so feel free to stick around even until after your race for the awarding ceremony and a special program made just for you!
We'll be applying a wave system for this race, releasing 150 girls every 10 minutes. :) The first wave starts at 6am. Make sure to arrive at the venue at least 1 hour before your wave time to make time for parking and ample stretching before running off!
Of course! Shower rooms and portalets are available for use at the clubhouse located near the Activity area. But please make sure to wash off excess mud first at our cleaning station after the finish line, before you proceed to the showers.
The muddy obstacles may sound physically challenging, but don't be fooled! These are just here to make our fun run EXTRA fun. There's also no need to take a crash course in swimming lessons, as the mud pits or pools won't be higher than the average-sized Filipina. We've got you covered, sister!
Aww boo! :( It's really sad that you can't join us for this year's run. While we ABSOLUTELY DO NOT ALLOW REFUNDS, we will allow you to pass on or swap your registration with someone, provided that they notify the Triple D team of the switch. Find out where to reach us by checking our Contact tab. :)
